University Alliance for Sustainability Junior Research Stay at Hebrew University of Jerusalem November - December 2015

Environmental Policy 

As part of the University Alliance of Sustainability (UAS) program, Ira Shefer was awarded the opportunity to undertake a three week research stay at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in order to develop his PhD project, which focuses on the influence of German environmental policies in the development of Israeli climate change policies.

Within his research in Israel, he would like to pay special attention to the growth potential of local authorities in forwarding international environmental policies. Furthermore he would like to examine in which way German environmental solutions are adjustable to the Israeli context and thereby fill a research gap in the field of environmental collaboration between Germany and Israel.
