Environmental Policy 

Sibyl Steuwer has been a research fellow at the Environmental Policy Research Center (FFU) at Freie Universität Berlin since April 2014. She participates in the project "Future infrastructures for meeting energy demands. Towards sustainability and social compatibility" by the Helmholtz Alliance Energy-Trans. She has also been a research fellow at the German Advisory Council for the Environment since November 2012. From 2010 to 2012, Sibyl has been working as a scientific project manager at the German Council for Sustainable Development. Sibyl holds a B.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management (BTU Cottbus), an M.A. in Public and Private Environmental Management (FU Berlin) and a Ph.D. in political science (FU Berlin). In her dissertation “Hybrid instruments: too smart to steer? The case of white certificate instruments for energy efficiency in Europe” she compared the introduction of a new policy instrument in Great Britain, France, and Italy. She has conducted several research stays abroad, including at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington DC and at the Heinrich Boell Foundation in Brussels.
