Lisa Suntrup, PhD candidate at the AG Sarkar traveled to UBC to perform photochemical and photophysical studies on compounds synthesized. She tested these compounds in photoredox catalysis for activation energy rich small molecules.

The discussion with the UBC researchers on 19.01.2016 participated in a joint one-day symposium and the results and publications arisen out of the visit of Lisa Suntrup to the UBC will be used as a basis for preparing a joint application of a “Trans-Regio Graduate College” for possible funding by both the German and the Canadian side.
