During the last years several research projects at Freie Universität Berlin focused on techniques and governance structures utilizing water in ancient societies. Subjects involved come from different archaeological and historical disciplines as well as from law and from geography. In this workshop scientists from Freie Universität Berlin and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will give brief insights into their research, into research questions and experimental designs to provide a base for ongoing discussions. In the afternoon space is provided to develop further research ideas and questions with the strategic partners of the University Alliance for Sustainability.
