Students with valid Freie Universität Berlin student cards can use the group study rooms on the second floor (1. OG) of the University Library (UB). Reservations can be made online through a room-booking system. Reservation requires a valid ZEDAT account. Computer terminals are not provided, but users can bring notebooks and other mobile devices.

Smart Boards

Four of the group rooms (118 C, 118 D, 118 E, 118 F) are designed for up to eight persons. They are equipped with smart boards. Notebooks can be connected to electric sockets on the desks (see also: Wireless LAN). A cable box is available. When connected to notebooks, the smart boards function as touchscreen displays.

Rooms without Smartboard

One room designed for up to four persons (118 H) and another for up to eight persons (118 A) have electric and LAN sockets only.

Multimedia Room

This room is primarily available to users of multimedia equipment. Please ask for more information at the desk of the Information Center. The multimedia room (118 G) is equipped with Blu-ray player and Internet-connected television set.
