Library Portal Primo

The library portal Primo is the central search interface for searching and accessing local and outside resources, such as books, ebooks, journals and journal articles. The Primo mega-index contains several billion datasets.

Databases

The Datenbank-Infosystem (DBIS) provides more than 2,000 licensed and free databases, including bibliographic information, full-text archives, facts and image databases, video archives and more.

E-Books

Around 1.7 million titles can currently be accessed online. Individual titles can be searched via the library portal Primo.

E-Journals

The Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (EZB), hosted by University Library of Regensburg, provides a thematic access to scientific ejournals subscribed to by the University Library of Freie Universität. The EZB also lists over 60,000 specialist journals that are freely accessible online.

Lean Library

The browser extension "Lean Library" simplifies access to all electronic resources of the University Library.
Wherever you search for literature on the Internet, you will be taken directly to the full texts.

Doctoral Theses, Research Data & more

As the Freie Universität Berlin institutional repository, Refubium provides Freie Universität members with a free-of-cost framework to electronically publish documents, doctoral and habiltation theses, as well as research data. Theses and documents written by Charité members are also accepted.

Archival Materials of the University Library

The Archivdatenbank provides several thousand selected archive materials on the history of Freie Universität and its institutes, the student movement in 1968, and biographies of academics.
