The University Library has recently established memberships with Frontiers Media SA, PLosOne and Cogitatio Press.

That means that Freie Universität Berlin academics can now publish free of charge and with no administrative battle.

Simply submit your manuscript to the open-access publishers mentioned above and, in the process, confirm your Freie Universität Berlin affiliation. If your paper is accepted and published, the University library will settle the publishing charges.

All published articles will simultaneously be published in parallel on the Freie Universität Berlin Institutional Repository.
