THE FIZZ Berlin opened in 2014 and since then it welcomes every semester numerous national and international students in a total of 212 apartments. The house is located at Köpenicker Straße 43, in the middle of the lively Kreuzberg district. The bus stop is right in front of the door, U-Bahn and S-Bahn are within walking distance. In addition to the modern and fully furnished apartment, lobby, seminar room, courtyard and clubhouse, THE FIZZ offers space for working, networking or for a joint cooking evening.

S-Apartments*

• Size: approx. 19m²
• Price: from €1,105 to €1,217, depending on floor and rental period (booking for a longer period is cheaper)
• Rental periods: Semester Stay (01.10.24 - 31.03.25) or Full Year Stay (01.10.24 - 30.09.25)

 

M-Apartments*

• Size: approx. 20-22 m²
• Price: from €1,163 to €1,331, depending on floor and rental period (booking for a longer period is cheaper)
• Rental periods: Semester Stay (01.10.24 - 31.03.25) or Full Year Stay (01.10.24 - 30.09.25)

Eligibility

International exchange and program students of Freie Universität Berlin and enrolled international PhD students.

 

Rental requests

1. You can easily select your desired apartment on the website of THE FIZZ Berlin and book it directly online.

2. When booking online, please fill in the field “Company/University” the text “Freie Universität Berlin” and in the field "How did you hear about us?" please select the option "University".

3. Please send the following required documents via E-Mail to THE FIZZ:

• Your Letter of Admission to Freie Universität Berlin / current certificate of enrolment, or comparable document.
• Proof of a private liability insurance

Conditions

The minimum rental period is 6 months, for current available terms please visit THE FIZZ website. If you wish to have a different term for your rental agreement, please contact THE FIZZ by e-mail. The deposit is three months' rent excl. bills. In addition, a one-time admission fee of 99€ (for full year stay) or 249€ (for Semester stay) is charged per contract.
