Sustainability in Higher Education

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in today’s world, including the fields of education and research. The years 2005-2014 were proclaimed the World Decade of Education for Sustainable Development by the United Nations; follow-up activities will be negotiated in autumn 2015. Freie Universität Berlin actively promotes sustainability by contributing to a sustainable development in research, teaching and administration. In Winter 2015/16, Junges Wissenschaftsforum Dahlem will present different perspectives and projects, inform the participants about funding options and provide a platform for discussions with leading sustainability experts.
