Concurrent Enrollment

You have been admitted to a teaching degree program with a second subject assignment at Freie Universität Berlin by Universität der Künste Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, or at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, or you have been admitted to a joint degree program (cooperative degree program) with one or more universities.

In this case, you will enroll at your first university and subsequently at the second university and, if applicable, at other universities.

On the admission letter, you can see which main university you have been assigned to start enrollment at.

Once this has been completed, apply for enrollment at Freie Universität immediately.

Required Documents

(the checklists for the documents to be submitted on the application for enrollment or the application for a change of degree program do not apply in the case of concurrent enrollment)

1. Letter of admission

2. Module/second subject assignment, if applicable

3. Current certificate of enrollment stating the degree program/subject and the semester of enrollment at your first university

4.1 If you are not yet enrolled at Freie Universität Berlin, please fill out and sign the application for enrollment. It is absolutely necessary to enter your e-mail address on page 4 of the application in order to create your student account!

4.2 If you are already enrolled at Freie Universität Berlin and would like to change your program, the application to change programs 

5. University entrance qualification

6. If applicable, the result of the FU language test, or proof of the required language skills for certain module offerings. You can find out which modules are affected by the information on the study programs. If, for example, an English level of B2.2 is required for your module offer, a simple copy of the school-leaving certificate can be submitted for this purpose. The dates of the language tests can be found on the website of the Language Center.

7. For Master's enrollments: degree certificate

8. If applicable, a certifcate regarding credit for prevoius studies, issued by the appropriate board of examiners/ department representative (not applicable for Master)

Save all required documents individually and name them according to their content. Accepted file formats are pdf, jpeg, png, bmp, docx with a maximum size of 2MB each. We do not accept links to external storage locations or zip files.

Send all required documents as e-mail attachments to the e-mail address that applies to you with the subject "last name, first name, concurrent enrollment":

These addresses are only for submitting applications for enrollment /  applications for a change of degree program. If you have further questions about enrollment, please contact the Info-Service Studium or refer to our website "FAQ Enrollment", as the above e-mail addresses ("imma-xxx@studium.fu-berlin.de") will not answer any questions.

After you have submitted your enrollment documents, you will receive an automatically generated confirmation of receipt and, if necessary, a follow-up request for missing documents. Please check your spam folder if necessary.
