If you have missed the application or registration deadline for a consecutive Master's program, you can apply for a study place in an admission-restricted Master's program via the lottery procedure. A lottery procedure only takes place if there are still study places available after the admission procedures have been completed.

Applications via the lottery procedure are possible for the following Master's degree programs:

Information on the lottery procedure at Freie Universität Berlin:

• Your lottery application will only be considered if you have submitted it online in the application portal of Freie Universität Berlin.
  
• The lottery procedure will be carried out after the application deadline. All admitted applicants will receive an admission notice in their application portal as a PDF document to print and/or save. Rejection notices will not be issued.

Information on the lottery procedure with a non-German Bachelor's degree:

•  In addition to the other required documents, you will be asked to upload an evaluation report from uni-assist or an APS certificate that proves your eligibility to enter a Master's degree program in Germany.
• In the application portal of Freie Universität Berlin, please select "All other universities" and the country "Germany" - it is not possible to select a non-German university.
• You must provide proof of sufficient German language skills in order to enroll, if these are required for the respective course of study.
