Location: Sydney

Semester spots: 14 semester spots or 7 academic years are available

Open for: Bachelor and Master

Minimum language requirement: TOEFL: 85, IELTS: 6.5 (at least 6.0 in all categories), PTE Academic: 61, CAE: 176 or min. 8 points/ mark 3 in the English advanced course in the Abitur (Must be within 10 years of the date you will commence the studies at the University of Sydney.)

Exceptions

  • If English is your first language, you need to have citizenship or permanent long-term residency (minimum 10 years) and completed secondary or higher education (tertiary) studies in an English-speaking country recognised by the University of Sydney.
  • A completed and recognised secondary education (high school) qualification (Must be within 10 years of the date you will commence the studies at the University of Sydney.)
  • A completed AQF diploma/advanced diploma of a minimum one-year duration from a recognised institution(Must be within 10 years of the date you will commence the studies at the University of Sydney.)
  • At least one year of full-time study at an English-speaking institution(Must be within 10 years of the date you will commence the studies at the University of Sydney.)

Duration: Beginning of August – end of November (Term II), resp. end of February – end of June (Term I)

Attention: Graduate students will be admitted as undergraduate students and could choose courses in the higher undergraduate range. In individual cases, you have the option of taking additional courses in the postgraduate area.

Additional Cost:

Health insurance: 330 AUD per semester.

Additional Scholarships:

The University of Sydney offers Social Media Ambassador Scholarships ($1,500AUD) for students from underrepresented demographics in Study Abroad with experience in social media content creation. All interested students will be invited to apply shortly before the start of each semester, and the scholarship will be available to both Study Abroad and Exchange students. These scholarships are not automatically included in the direct exchange.
