EU citizens with exchange placements >6 months (academic year placements) require a student visa, for which you will need to provide evidence of your English language skills. For stays <6 months, EU citizens do not need a visa and therefore do not need to submit a language certificate for the visa process. In this case, the UEA accepts IB and Abitur diplomas with English courses as proof of language proficiency for up to 10 years.
