The DAAD has supported more than 80 local student ERASMUS initiatives at German universities since 1990. These were primarily funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research. The FU’s initiative is called the “International Club”.

The International Club consists of a group of honorary FU students that work towards successfully integrating foreign students into the FU life, as well as the preparation of German ERASMUs students for their study abroad. They answer daily questions about student life and are generally the first to be contacted by international students after they arrive Berlin. With over 80 cultural and professional events each year, the International Club promotes intercultural dialogue at the FU and ensures a successful ERASMUS stay.
