Incoming doctoral students who would like to come to Freie Universität Berlin via an Erasmus+ SMS short-term mobility are very welcome. The prerequisite is that there is a valid Erasmus agreement between the universities that covers such a stay.

Information about requirements, funding, and other modalities for preparing and carrying out an SMS short-term mobility must be obtained from the central Erasmus office of the home university. The short-term stay is financed exclusively by Erasmus funds from the home university. Please note that enrollment as an exchange student is not possible for short term mobility. 

Subject-related aspects of the short-term stay must be discussed with the respective subject coordinator in the institute or department of Freie Universität. It is advisable to start searching for an academic supervisor early.
