Hello everyone,

My name is Lenny Hallberg, and I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Political Science at the Otto Suhr Institute of Freie Universität Berlin. I am half German and half Swedish and was raised in Berlin. In my studies, I have developed a deep interest in international relations and comparative politics, particularly focusing on the comparison of Germany and France.

Further, I have a strong passion for French culture, spanning from Marcel Proust's literary masterpieces to Charles Baudelaire's poetic brilliance and Annie Ernaux's insightful narratives. Additionally, the films of Nouvelle Vague directors such as François Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, and Éric Rohmer, have captured my imagination with their insights into the complexities of human nature and society.

Reflecting on my own application process to Freie Universität Berlin, I understand the importance of having guidance and support. As a Student Ambassador, I am committed to continuing the valuable initiatives of my predecessors and sharing my experiences to help prospective as well as enrolled students navigate university life effectively.

Freie Universität Berlin is not just a place of study but also a refuge amidst the bustling city of Berlin. With its unique green spaces and breathtaking campus, located in a quiet neighborhood, Freie Universität Berlin provides an ideal atmosphere to study. Throughout my time here, I have enjoyed numerous opportunities, such as language courses and lectures from different departments, all while receiving genuine support and care from professors.

I am excited to be part of the Student Ambassador Program 2024 and I hope to guide you through your academic journey while ensuring you enjoy your studies at the same time.
