The last event in the series of “FUB Lunch-time Debates on the Future of Higher Education Internationalization” will focus on the future of the global camous as we know it. With increasing digitization, the global experience with virtual teaching through the Corona pandemic, and also the demands of current as well as future generations of students for the availability of teaching and learning content, the question arises: does the face-to-face university as we know it still have a future? What models for a campus, for university teaching and learning, can we imagine in the future? Has the pandemic changed our view of this? And how do we manage to maintain internationality, which so strongly shapes our image of the presence university, even under changed circumstances? What role will experiences abroad and intercultural learning have in the future?

Prof. Claire Macken, Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) at RMIT University and Hugh Martin, Registrar & Chief Administrative Officer at The British University in Dubai, will share their opinions, experiences and examples in a vivid debate.

The discussion, moderated by Prof. Verena Blechinger-Talcott, will take place online on July 16, 2021 from 12:30 – 13:30 CEST. You can register here.
