What special memories do you have from your time at Freie Universität?

I loved having an office right on the border between Catholic Theology and Jewish Studies since my research for decades has been on the intersection between Christianity and Judaism in the first 1000 years or so.

What is the most important thing you learned here?

How much real fun scholarship can be with lovely colleagues, young and old.

What advice would you give your younger self today?

Stay longer!

If I could give my university a present for its 70th birthday…

...I would endow the Institute for Catholic Theology so that it would remain forever.
