What special memory/memories do you have from your time at Freie Universität?

I remember how active all students are - there were frequent demonstrations, students were demanding and protecting their rights, they stood behind causes and organized themselves.

What is the most important thing you learned here?

That being a student is much more than just going to lectures and passing exams. It is one's fundamental preparation for life and should be embraced with thorough devotion.

What advice would you give your younger self today?

To be more proactive and engaged in the different student organizations at Freie Universität and to do more social work for my community in Berlin.

If I could give Freie Universität a present for its 70th birthday…

...I would expand the library at the Osteuropa-Institut.
