 BERLIN GRADUATE SCHOOL MUSLIM CULTURES AND SOCIETIES

The Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies (BGSMCS) investigates the plurality, changeability, and global connectedness of Muslim cultures and societies. The area of study includes Muslim societies in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, as well as Muslim communities in Europe and North America. The new call for applications will oppen on 30 September till November 11, 2020. 

 

BERLIN-BRANDENBURG SCHOOL FOR REGENERATIVE THERAPIES

The Berlin-Brandenburg School for Regenerative Therapies (BSRT) offers interdisciplinary training and research opportunities in the field of Regenerative Medicine for outstanding doctoral researchers with a background in the biological, engineering or clinical disciplines. The Call for application is open till October 11, 2020

 

MAX PLANCK SCHOOL OF COGNITION

The Max Planck School of Cognition invites applications from exceedingly bright students with strong academic experience in areas related to cognition such as artificial intelligence, (cognitive) neuroscience, genetics, linguistics, mathematics, neurobiology, neuroimaging, neurology, neurophysics, philosophy, physics, psychiatry, and psychology.

In the first year of the program (orientation year) students will receive a stipend plus additional support for health insurande, from the second year onwards  (PhD phase) will have a full position.

The Call for application is open till December 1, 2020.

MATERIALS FOR SOLAR ENERGY CONVERSION (MATSEC) AT HELMHOLTZ CENTER BERLIN

MatSEC is a graduate school funded by Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie to establisch an innovative, interdisciplinary network for young researchers. MatSEC is a member of Dahlem Research School (DRS). DRS is the strategic center for junior researchers of Freie Universität Berlin.

The Summer Call for application to MatSEC ends September 30, 2020.

BERLIN MATHEMATICAL SCHOOL -BERLIN MATHEMATICAL SCHOOL (BMS) – GET YOUR MATH PHD IN BERLIN

The Berlin Mathematical School is the graduate school of the Cluster of Excellence MATH+ and a joint endeavor of the mathematics departments at the universities in Berlin: Freie Universität (FU), Humboldt-Universität (HU) and Technische Universität (TU).

For applicants with a Bachelor, Phase I offers a basic graduate phase of 3-4 semesters completed by a qualifying exam. Phase II is the research phase and open to candidates with a Master‘s degree. It lasts 4-6 semesters in which candidates conduct specialized research and attend at least one advanced course per semester.

Application Deadlines (open on 15 September 2020):

Phase I with scholarship: 1 December 2020

Phase I without scholarship: 1 April 2021

Phase II (Master’s degree finished by 31 March 2021): 1 December 2020

Phase II (Master’s degree finished by 30 September 2021): 1 April 2021

 

INTERNATIONAL MAX PLANCK RESEARCH SCHOOL BIOLOGY AND COMPUTATION (IMPRS-BAC)

The new graduate program IMPRS for Biology And Computation (IMPRS-BAC) provides an education for students at the interface of molecular life sciences and computational sciences. This is based on perspective and supervision from both ends - experimental and computational - and suits students with degrees in molecular biology, biochemistry, mathematics, bioinformatics or any related areas.

A new round of applications including funded places within the structured doctoral program IMPRS-BAC will open in October 2020 until 3rd of January, 2021.

 

BERLIN INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE SCHOOL OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING (BIG-NSE)

The BIG-NSE as a part of the "Einstein Center of Catalysis" (EC2) aims to inspire, initiate, and promote novel collaborations between research networks and institutions in Berlin on cutting-edge projects in chemistry and the molecular life sciences that may, in turn, open new directions for future catalysis research.

GRADUATE PROGRAM "BIODIVERSITY, EVOLUTION AND ECOLOGY"

The Graduate Program "Biodiversity, Evolution and Ecology" aims to provide doctoral researchers with a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary basis in biodiversity research, and to promote intensive interaction between doctoral researchers, postdocs and senior researchers in an interdisciplinary environment.
