The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports the "German-Egyptian Progress Partnership" programme using funding from the Federal Foreign Office (AA).

German-Egyptian progress partnerships are to help create additional opportunities for renewing Egyptian higher education institutions, support them in their efforts to modernise and further academic progress.

The programme is open to all subject areas and targeting University teachers, higher education employees, students, graduates, doctoral candidates from Germany and Egypt and, if applicable, from other countries. In the latter case, their participation in the funded measure must be directly connected to the project objective.

The maximum amount of DAAD grant is €100,000 per budget year. The funding period begins on 01/03/2019 at the earliest and ends on 31/12/2020 at the latest.

The application for project funding must be completed in full and submitted by the stipulated deadline exclusively via the DAAD portal (https://portal.daad.de/irj/portal).

The application deadlines is 10 December 2018.
