Warum haben Sie sich für das Deutschlandstipendium beworben?

Mein sehr guter Studienabschluss der Northeastern Universität in Boston hat mich motiviert, mich mit meiner Zulassung zum Studium an der Freien Universität auch für das Deutschlandstipendium zu bewerben. Die kombinierte Förderung durch einen privaten Förderer und dem Bund war ein zusätzlicher Grund. Was mich aber wirklich faszinierte, war das umfassende Programm. Das Mentoring-Programm und die zahlreichen Netzwerkmöglichkeiten sind unglaublich wertvoll für meine akademische und berufliche Laufbahn. Rückblickend bin ich sehr froh, dass ich mich entschieden habe, mich zu bewerben.

Was bedeutet das Deutschlandstipendium für Sie?

Die Zusage für ein Deutschlandstipendium, war maßgeblich für meine Entscheidung hier zu studieren. Sie hat mir geholfen, die finanzielle Sorgen, die mit einem Umzug als internationale Studierende nach Deutschland enstehen können, ein wenig zu mildern. Was aber noch viel wichtiger ist, dass das Stipendium mir ein Netzwerk von Wissenschaftler*innen, Akademiker*innen und Fachkräften aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen bietet. Deutschland unterstützt mit diesem Programm, das Bildung für Studierende unterschiedlicher Herkunft möglich ist. Ich freue mich auf die Stipendienfeier, wo ich alle Beteiligten treffen und mich bedanken kann. Der Erhalt des Deutschlandstipendiums gleich zu Beginn meines Studiums in Deutschland ist eine tolle Erfahrung und ich bin auf Alles gespannt, was noch kommt!

1. Why did you apply for the Deutschlandstipendium?

As a first-year master's student at Freie Universität Berlin and coming from a strong academic background at Northeastern University in Boston, I was highly motivated to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium. The combined financial support from a private sponsor and the Federal Government was a significant draw, but what truly captivated me was the Deutschlandstipendium comprehensive support system. The program's rich mentoring initiatives and extensive networking opportunities are invaluable assets in navigating my academic and professional journey in Germany. Reflecting back, I’m definitely glad I made the decision to apply. No regrets there!

2. What does the scholarship mean to you?
The Deutschlandstipendium has been instrumental in my educational pursuit at Freie Universität Berlin. It has played a role in easing the financial challenges associated with being an international student relocating to Germany. More importantly, it has created a path that connects me to an expansive network of scholars, academics, and professionals from diverse fields. This scholarship epitomizes Germany’s dedication to fostering equitable and high-quality education for students from various backgrounds. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity on January 25th to meet and extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved with the Deutschlandstipendium, including fellow recipients and sponsors.
