The tolerance of plants to climatic changes and short-term fluctuations in environmental conditions is determined by their adaptation and acclimatization capacities. In the Plant Physiology group of the Freie Universitaet Berlin we are especially interested in plastid-controlled protection mechanisms, the signalling processes that adjust it to changing environmental conditions and the consequences on plant growth, productivity and survival. We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who can further develop the molecular-physiological investigation of adaptive and acclimatory environmental potential of plants and teach future scientists and biology teachers in basic and advanced plant physiology.

Your tasks:
Participation in research and teaching are expected:
- Develop and implement an independent research project with focus on the interconnection of the plastid protection system with signalling and stress control
- Participate in research projects within the Plant Physiology working group
