The seminar and exercise cover basic and advanced methods in molecular biology. Methods discussed include proximity-labelling/prime-editing/SELEX-seq and the analysis of genetic interactions. In the seminar, current methods in molecular biology and cell biology are discussed, presented and critically discussed. The exercise focuses on the analysis of transgenic material generated for proximity labelling (TurboID), but also cloning strategies and analysis of genetic interactions of mutants in the light signalling pathway of plants.
