WiSe 23/24: Introduction to empirical communication research

According to the recommended study plan, the seminar is directed to the students with PuK as minor subject. The students with PuK as core subject are asked to attending the seminar in the summmer term. The seminar is complementary to the lecture "Einführung in die empirische Kommunikationsforschung" (in winter term). We will discuss empirical studies on the various issues of communication research which were introduced in the lecture. The objective of the course is to deepen our understanding of theoretical approaches and concepts, research designs and the methods applied in empirical communication research. During the seminar sessions we will focus on studies on public sphere and public opinion, news values and news factors as well as media use and media effects. Term papers can be written in English or German language. Schließen
