With this Seminar students will be able to understand the main theories in education, why it is an important topic in development theory and policy, and the policies that have shaped the education sector in Latin America. The seminar will also enable you to apply theoretical methods to other developmental topics. The sessions will be led by the presentation of the most influential papers in education in Latin America and discussion about their interpretation and potential policy impact.
