WiSe 23/24: 'Beyond Nature and Culture': New perspectives in archaeological theory.

In this course, an introduction into the development of archaeological theory will be provided and current perspectives developed out of the diverse “turns” in the humanities over the last decades will be discussed (e.g. spatial turn, ontological turn, material turn). Specific attention will be placed on posthumanist and activist approaches in order to explore the position, impact and perspectives of archaeology in the post-colonial field. Schließen
