The seminar offers participants first-hand experience with current applied research in the field of development economics. It is offered in cooperation with the Economic Policy Lab "Climate Change, Development, and Migration" at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. Following an introductory session in the first week, we will join the seminar series of the Development Economics Network Berlin (DENeB, http://www.deveconberlin.org/), where international researchers present their latest research papers every two weeks. To prepare for each lecture, we will critically analyze the presenters' working papers, evaluating both the content and methodology. The research papers discussed will primarily follow a (micro-)econometric approach, so prior experience with empirical methods courses is highly recommended. Please check the schedule for the DENeB seminar series here: https://www.deveconberlin.org/activities/seminar_series. In weeks when no DENeB seminar is scheduled, guest speakers will be invited to present their work. This course is jointly held with course number 10145311 (https://www.fu-berlin.de/vv/de/lv/903399?m=169843&pc=71908&sm=851413) and is scheduled from 11:00 – 14:00. Schließen
