Die einzelnen Sitzungen der Ringvorlesungen werden live gestreamt und aufgenommen, damit diese auch noch im Nachhinein angeschaut werden können.

Protektionismus ist ein schillernder Begriff und ein vielgestaltiges Phänomen. Man versteht darunter gewöhnlich Eingriffe in den Außenhandel mit dem Ziel, inländische Produzenten und Konsumenten vor ausländischer Konkurrenz zu schützen. In der Ringvorlesung wollen wir konkrete Fallbeispiele aus einer kulturwissenschaftlichen Perspektive nachgehen. Damit sollen Kontinuitäten und Wandel von protektionistischen Maßnahmen von der Antike bis ins 20. Jahrhundert identifiziert und erklärt werden. Eine Abschlussklausur findet in der letzten Vorlesungswoche statt. close
