WiSe 22/23: Introduction to Feminist Philosophy

Lillian Cicerchia

Comments

This course prepares students for further studies in feminist philosophy. It focuses on three questions that are central to feminist theory: (1) What is a woman? (2) Why are women oppressed? and (3) What does gender justice mean? The assigned texts will respond to each question from liberal, radical, socialist, and postmodern perspectives. The seminar discussion will be conducted in English. Texts will be provided in English and German and, if they prefer it, students can write all course assignments in German. close
