Ziel des Moduls ist die überblicksartige Vermittlung von Basiswissen für das
weiterführende Studium der Vorderasiatischen Archäologie. Behandelt werden Geographie und Ökologie im Vorderen Orient, Periodisierung und Chronologie, Grundzüge der materiellen und
geistigen Kultur, politische und wirtschaftliche Prozesse sowie der historische Kontext, in dem
Forschungen stattgefunden haben und stattfinden. In diesem 2. Teil des Moduls werden die
wichtigsten historischen und kulturgeschichtlichen Ereignisse des 2. und 1. Jt. v. u. Z. behandelt, vom
altbabylonischen Reich Hammurabis bis zu den Großreichen der Assyrer und Achämeniden. close
