In this course, sediment samples from marine drill cores are prepared and analyzed using various methods from the fields of micropaleontology, geochemistry, and sedimentology. The aim of this course is that participants reconstruct paleoenvironmental conditions based on their independently acquired data and discuss them within the group. Special consideration will be given to current issues in micropaleontology as a tool for paleoenvironmental reconstruction.
