Comments

The course will combine elements of my class on the political economy of development (https://macartan.github.io/assets/pdf/teaching/PED_2018_syllabus.pdf) and my development studies replication class (https://macartan.github.io/teaching/ssds-2016 ). It introduces students to leading edge empirical work in the political economy of development using an approach in which students engage deeply with texts, replicating results and reanalyzing data. The course is aimed at advanced students with statistical skills (analyses will mostly be done in R) who want to learn about how research is produced research findings are supported. close
