Demands for reparations, politics of remembrance, cooperation: The path to social reconciliation is often long and difficult - but not impossible. What role do political actors, economic cooperation and images of society play in reconciliation processes? (How) is societal forgiveness and reconciliation possible? We identify core elements that societies have used in their path to conflict resolution, deepen these through critical examination of selected examples, and develop reconciliation strategies. The tutorial is aimed at students from various disciplines, for example political and social sciences, law, theology or history and cultural studies. The seminar language is German, previous knowledge is not required. A three-day seminar trip is offered as part of the tutorial. Details will be announced at the introductory meeting. close
