Jena practice is a mindful movement-based practice which challenges and pushes the mind, body, and spirit concurrently. The practice uses movement, mindfulness, meditation, relaxation and breathing exercises to help the body to open and to relax. Jena practice is a question about the relationship between matter and spirit; it extends beyond the human world to that of the spiritual in which all beings carry life through connections within the world's soul. Animals, plants, lands, waters, rocks, and mountains are alive, and thus, humans should live within equitable relations of respect and reciprocity with all other animated beings.
