The poetry written by authors such as Shelley or Wordsworth is distinguished by a high level of theoretical sophistication. This is why it has continued to exert a theoretical impulse on scholarship, for example in Deconstruction. In this class, we will discuss a small number of texts in great detail in the hope better to understand the concerns, commitments, and techniques of romantic poetry in the English tongue. close
