Preliminary meeting: Together with preliminary meeting of the other courses in Hydrogeology
The course will be held on weekends Oct 28-29 and Nov 5-6 plus the legal holiday Oct 31 whole day!
Participation at an extension of the course at the following weekend (Nov 11-12) with the topic of python programming in GIS for hydrogeological topics is open for choice.

Lecture: Systematics of hydrogeological maps based on GIS: International hydrogeological maps and standard legend, maps of hydrogeological units and overview of existing map collections. Map topics: Groundwater suface and isolines, aquifer thickness, groundwater vulnerability, groundwater recharge, aquifer and hydrochemical parameter maps, cross sections. Labs will include a short introduction and mainly work with OpenSource GIS so that participants should install QGIS and SAGA GIS on their computers. The course will be online and completely in English.
