WiSe 23/24: Seminar/Proseminar: IoT in smart homes

This seminar focuses on various aspects of Computer Engineering. At the beginning of the seminar, suggested topics will be handed out, which mainly deal with certain aspects of the Internet of Things and security in Smart Homes. It is also possible and desirable to propose your own topics, but they must be related to Computer Engineering. The topics can be worked on alone or in small groups (2 students). However, it must then be clear who has contributed which part to the seminar paper.
About the course: This seminar takes place during the semester. There are few meetings, but they are obligatory. On the first date (17.10.2023) the list of topics will be handed out and discussed. Please prepare a short (2-3 minutes) outline of your own proposed topic if you would like to bring it to the seminar. For the next week (24.10.2023, no face-to-face date!) the topic assignment will then take place via whiteboard assignment. After that, there will be a total of 3 presentation dates: the topic presentation (07.11.2023), a short interim presentation (12.12.2023 and 19.12.2023) and the final presentation (13.02.2024, 20.02.2024 and evtl. 27.02.2024).
