The seminar seeks to advance students' exposure to and familiarity with the history of economic thought seen through the lenses of Global South scholars, loosely defined as thinkers who have spent a relevant part of their academic life in Africa, Asia or Latin America. Each week, we discuss the work of a different scholar within its specific regional context and in relation to the broader paradigms of its time. Selected sessions are offered in cooperation with the division of postgraduate studies of the faculty of economics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). close
