Comments
In their professional lives, veterinarians have to make economic decisions in various areas, be it in running practices, advising farmers and pet owners or in veterinary public service.
The course is intended to provide insight into basic economic concepts.
A focus is placed on the business aspects so that one can understand why farmers want to castrate their piglets themselves, when it is worthwhile for an animal owner to treat a cow, when it becomes worthwhile to purchase an X-ray machine and how the financial aspects relate to other factors influencing the decision process.
