The ongoing digitalization and further development of artificial intelligence promise to change almost all areas of life. Digitalization is also finding its way into the training and practice of veterinarians. This development raises questions: what tasks will artificial intelligence take on in the near future? What is artificial intelligence (AI) and what are neural networks and machine learning? Why are we experiencing great interest in digitalization and AI right now? In order to take this development into account, the elective course 'Digital Veterinary Medicine' was designed. It is planned as a series of lectures by experts on various aspects of digitalization combined with interactive exercises on the computer. It shows what opportunities digitalization has to offer for training and practice. In particular, the following topics will be covered: automatic diagnostics based on image data and sensors, e-learning. You will be offered the opportunity to interactively apply modern methods of data processing and machine learning yourself. close
