This is a course that aims to collectively map how the field of dance studies networks with international dance communities and audiences to produce THE DISCOURSE that ‘matters’. Herein, we analyse the textual tactics of the chattering classes in producing and curating public attention. This course takes a reception studies approach to dance, analyzing dance from its interface with public attention. close
