Mihai Varga
Comments
The seminar teaches selected empirical social research design perspective informed by symbolic interactionist and more broadly interpretive approaches. We discuss principles and basic methods of data collection and analysis of qualitative interviews and apply the acquired knowledge in a small empirical research project. The seminar is open to the topics of the participants and is intended to support them in their first considerations for master thesis topics.
Active participation: short analytical texts/research sketches) totaling approximately 1,000 words are due towards the end of the lecture period (these texts will be supervised and one session per seminar will be devoted to a feedback session on the texts); during the seminar, students will be required to give one 5-minute input per seminar (mostly on the research sketch). close
