Colloquium Surviving Linguistics: Writing & Presenting

This course hones students’ academic writing and presentation skills within the field of linguistics. In the first sessions, we focus on presentation skills, including structuring content, effective delivery, managing nerves, etc. The remaining sessions address different types of academic writing, from research papers to theses. Throughout the semester, students will complete several small assignments, with the option to tailor these to their ongoing projects.

By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with essential skills for writing and presenting in linguistics and other scientific fields.

This course is open to all students with an interest in linguistic topics.
