Three Postdoctoral Researchers at Freie Universität Berlin Were Recognized with a Career Development Award
Funding from the Berlin University Alliance enables young researchers to take a research semester during an important career phase

For the second time, the Berlin University Alliance is honoring young researchers with a Career Development Award. A total of eleven postdoctoral researchers from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin have been awarded the funding. They will be on leave during the 2022/23 winter semester and released from all university obligations. During this time they can devote themselves to a research project of their own choosing.
The award winners at Freie Universität:
- Dr. Nanine Lilla, Freie Universität Berlin (Department of Education and Psychology, Primary Education): „Stärkung des Bildungserfolgs von Schülerinnen und Schülern mit Migrationshintergrund in der Ganztagsschule“
- Dr. Isabell Schuster, Freie Universität Berlin (Department of Education and Psychology, Emotional and Social Development): “Educational pathways and social inclusion of refugee and newly migrated families”
- Dr. Kathrin Wittler, Freie Universität Berlin (Department of Philosophy and Humanities, Peter Szondi Institute of Comparative Literature): „Die Einsamkeit des lyrischen Gedichts“
