As an international network university, Freie Universität Berlin meets both the goals it has set for itself and the expectations demanded by politics and society for increasing internationalization processes in study, science, and teaching. The teaching of skills to deal with cultural differences in a constructive and solution-oriented manner supports tolerance and respectful interaction, and the promotion of a diverse workforce creates innovative strength and creativity.

For this reason, Freie Universität has decided to support its staff with its own program to promote internationalization processes. It enables participants to deal intensively with communicative situations in an international and intercultural context. The certificate program "Profi", which consists of the modules "intercultural competence and "foreign languages" (as well as an optional stay abroad) is offered at the FU's Center for Continuing Education.
