AiS Policy

AiS Policy is an initiative of Academics in Solidarity. It seeks to give the voice to exiled scholars and their mentors, enabling their participation in policy discourses on such issues as forced internationalization of research and higher education, ensuring academic freedom, support to researchers in exile, post-war reconstruction of higher education and research systems, academic dialog as a means of conflict transformation, as well as cross-regional cooperation with academic institutions beyond liberal democracies.

The Initiative started with the first AiS Policy Workshop in October 2020. The results of the workshop and discussions that followed are published in the form of policy briefs that can be found on this webpage. The policy briefs are presented by authors to broader audiences as part of the AiS Policy Talk Series. The announcements of upcoming policy talks can be found in the News section.
