Call for applications: 13th Call of Philipp Schwartz Initiative

Applications can be submitted until 15 September 2023

News from Jul 03, 2023

The Philipp Schwartz Initiative enables universities and research institutions in Germany to host researchers at risk on the basis of a full fellowship. Accordingly, host institutions will receive funding which is composed of two components:

1.) A sponsorship to grant the nominated scholar research stays in the form of a research fellowship of up to 24 months.

2.) A lump sum intended for measures to support Philipp Schwartz fellows in integrating and in re-starting their careers.

An extension of up to 12 months can be granted in the framework of a co-financing model.

Researchers who are demonstrably at risk – irrespective of discipline and country of origin – are eligible for sponsorship under the Initiative. However, due to the impact of the ongoing worldwide crises, only a limited number of threat assesments can be conducted. We therefore advise you to apply as soon as possible.
