Freie Universität Berlin along with University of Heidelberg and Max Planck Society took part in the Indo-German Workshop on the theme “Gender-based Violence - Researcher’s perspective” at University of Hyderabad, India on 21st September, 2023. This was followed by the Panel Discussion on the theme “Gender-based Violence: Policy Maker’s perspective” at the School of Innovation & Management, Shaikpet, Hyderabad on 22nd September, 2023.

Dr. Heike Pantelmann (Managing Director, Margherita von Brentano Center for German Studies) from Freie Universität Berlin along with other esteemed speakers including Prof. Dr. Sheela Suryanarayanan, Prof. Dr. Christiane Schwieren, Prof. Dr. D. Parthasarathy and Ms. Srividya Reddy G. shared their thoughtful insights and research perspectives on this sensitive yet important issue.

Ms. Vibhuti Sukhramani (Head of the Liaison Office New Delhi) and Ms. Eva Tiemann (Project Coordinator, Centre for International Cooperation) from the Freie Universität Berlin also participated in the event.
