Freie Universität Berlin and University of Göttingen in association with the Department of Political Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University organised the One Day Symposium on “Transnational Conflict on Food & Agriculture: Issues and Challenges” on October 5, 2023 at Research Park, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India.

Chaired by Dr. Rajeshwari Deshpande (Head of Department, Department of Political Science, SPPU) this event was supported by the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New Delhi.

Prof. Dr. Tobias Berger (Assistant Professor, Otto-Suhr-Institute for Political Science Center for Transnational Relations, Foreign and Security Policy) from Freie Universität Berlin along with Prof. Dr. Anja Jetschke, University of Göttingen & Prof. Anubrata Deka from FLAMES were the invited speakers for the event and shared their thoughtful insights on the theme.

On 6th October, 2023, Prof. Dr. Tobias Berger delivered a lecture on the topic “Multidimensional Power in China’s Human Rights Discourses” at the lecture cum discussion session organised by the Strategic Culture & Security Foundation, Pune and SPPU.

Ms. Vibhuti Sukhramani (Head of the Liaison Office in New Delhi) and Mr. Bertram Welker (India Advisor, Centre for International Cooperation) from Freie Universität Berlin also participated in the event.
